The City of Munich is once again inviting applications for the Innovation Challenge in the field of Smart Cities. The startup community, students, entrepreneurs and creative minds are called upon to develop viable and innovative solutions to solve specific challenges the city is facing.
The most convincing solutions will be awarded the Innovation Prize, developed further together with the city administration and tested in practice.
The winning teams receive the City of Munich's Innovation Award, worth 10,000 euros. A further 15,000 euros are available for specific expenses during the co-creation phase. Please read the terms and conditions for the requirements.
Competent support for the implementation phase is provided by UnternehmerTUM, the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, the LMU Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, the founders@ unibw start-up center and German Entrepreneurship.
The application deadline is May 15.

- Healthy senior citizens: Digitalize a services and care network
- Expand places in Munich with digital innovations
- Digital monitoring of Munich's diesel-free zone
- Text and the City - text mining in city development
The City of Munich’s Innovation Challenge is an invitation to submit innovative ideas to solve specific challenges the city is facing. The aim is to co-develop new smart city solutions that will prove their value when put to the test.
