Munich at SXSW 2024

The Munich Delegation brings together startups, established companies, creatives and a team from the City of Munich led by the Head of the Department of Labor and Economic Development, Clemens Baumgärtner.

The official SXSW program will feature a panel with FC Bayern Munich on Investing in the Internationalization of Sports as well as a session with Siemens AG on Sustaining Coral Reefs With Digital Twins. Julia Weigl from Filmfest München will offer a mentor session on programming. Munich-based Jazz singer Enji will perform at the SXSW Music Festival.

In November last year, startups from Munich had the opportunity to apply for 10 startup packages for SXSW 2024, sponsored by Munich Startup and munich business. The following ten startups have been selected and will be part of the Munich delegation:

Ägile Ässets is the agile social media management SaaS for global brand builders. 

A truly pro-level social media management SaaS tool for anyone, especially agencies, it includes multi-brand/-channel/-language functionalities, AI-supported post creation as well as (upcoming) GenAI Trendwatch. 

Angsa is developing an autonomous robot that detects even small trash items using artificial intelligence. The autonomous robot can be used for offroad terrain such as parks or festival grounds.

Atopia lets you experience museums, galleries, historic sites and stages from across the world on one spatial platform from home, in VR or simply from your laptop.

BAVERTIS is revolutionizing the electric vehicle industry by combining cutting-edge semiconductor technology with advanced AI software. This innovative approach extends the life of electric vehicle battery packs by 80% and paves the way for their reuse in new applications with a simple software update.

Certivity are aiming to facilitate access and insight for everyone who needs to understand and comply with regulations in the automotive industry. The Certivity RegTech Software solution makes regulatory management smarter, more transparent, more efficient and cheaper.

DROMNI was founded in 2021 as a spin-off from the Munich Technical University. The startup specializes in applying new technology, especially modern AI, in everyday workflows to facilitate complex work steps and increase productivity.
