Impact and Entrepreneurship

Once again this year, the Social Innovation team from munich business will be represented in the Impact Area at the Backyard of the Munich Startup Festival, together with network partners such as the Social Entrepreneurship Academy (SEA), the Social-Startup-Hub Bayern, and Generation D.

The diversity of our ecosystem is our strength: A diverse, impact-driven network plays a key role in ensuring our city’s resilience and sustainability. Take this opportunity to exchange ideas with our network partners and startups, make valuable connections, and share your ideas. The Impact Area is the ideal place for anyone who combines social innovation with entrepreneurial thinking.

Why these companies are participating

Portrait von Irene Klemm

What makes the Munich Startup Festival special is its honest and supportive atmosphere. In my experience, the real value for founders lies in the informal exchanges. People talk openly about challenges, share honest insights, and network within a strong community that extends far beyond the event itself.

What makes the Munich Startup Festival special is the opportunity it provides to actively connect the innovation community and bring together different stakeholders. In an increasingly fast-paced and competitive world, Germany and Europe must actively promote entrepreneurship and innovation in order to remain relevant as attractive hubs for innovation. Events like the Munich Startup Festival create exactly this space for exchange, new partnerships, and collaborative projects. Innovation needs visibility, promotion, and support. That’s exactly what the Munich Startup Festival offers.

We’ve already met a few investors at the Munich Startup Festival and built relationships with them in a relaxed setting, which later led to an investment. Plus, the panel discussions are really exciting and right on the cutting edge.
For me, it’s precisely that relaxed atmosphere and the diverse audience that make the festival so special—you step out of your bubble and still meet like-minded people (startup enthusiasts).

For me, the best part of the Munich Startup Festival is the face-to-face encounters and conversations that take place there—a “networking power play.” I think it’s great when the Munich startup scene, with all its diverse players, comes together in one day with such positive vibes—that’s why I’m happy to be coming back again this year.

Once again, we are supporting the MSF as an inspiring and dynamic platform that fosters exchange within the startup scene and brings fresh ideas to the forefront. I am once again looking forward to the many different perspectives, the personalities of the founders, and the startup talent that Munich has to offer. Successful startups, their energy, and their creativity are indispensable for the future of Munich’s economy.
