Munich, the capital of Bavaria, ranks fifth in the QS Best Student Cities Ranking, making it one of the world's most attractive destinations for international students.

Within Europe, Munich is ranked second only to London. The city's outstanding position is driven by factors such as its high quality of life, excellent career opportunities, efficient public transportation system, and renowned Bavarian hospitality.

The six evaluation categories are university quality, international student diversity, attractiveness and quality of life of the city, career opportunities, affordability of studies and living costs, as well as students’ experiences and evaluations. This creates a comprehensive comparison of the most attractive study locations worldwide.
