Priority for Online Services

Since the beginning of the year, the most important online services of the Department of Public
Order and District Administration (Kreisverwaltungsreferat - KVR) have followed the user preference of “online first”.

This also applies to business registration and re-registration.

Thanks to the user-friendly design, you are guided through the process in just a few steps—without needing to visit the Trade Licensing Office in person. This means you can receive your trade licence quickly.

It’s that simple

You need a BayernID account, which can easily be created with a username and password.

An online ID function (eID) is not required.

There is now also an application form for voluntary re-registrations.

Information is available on the KVR Trade Licensing Office website in eleven languages.

Important note: Don’t lose any time - after registering your business with the Trade Licensing Office, make sure to also register it online with the tax office without being prompted! Further information is available from the Munich Start-up Office on the “Registration” page.
