Munich Onboarding Hub

To ensure that your young talent and skilled professionals not only come to Munich but also quickly find their way around, feel at home, and stay for the long term.

The Munich Onboarding Hub supports your company in helping international professionals and trainees get started in Munich.

The Hub

  • simplifies your onboarding process
  • supports the integration of new employees
  • promotes networking and orientation
  • complements existing HR and onboarding processes
  • contributes to long-term retention in Munich

To achieve this, the Hub brings together specialized and flexible services offered by the city that can be easily integrated into existing onboarding and integration processes.

A well-established meeting place: Open House on Wednesday

The “Weekly Open House” is the perfect first meeting place for all internationals who are new to Munich, want to expand their networks, and learn about the most important current topics related to working and living in Munich from our team and our partners.

When and where?

Every Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 pm in the cultural pavilion of the MVHS - Language Center of the Munich Adult Education Center, Orleansstraße 34, room 7, near the U/S train station Munich Ostbahnhof.

Additional services for and with companies

We are continuously expanding our range of services for you.

Since opening in September 2025, we have already:

  • welcomed over 1,600 participants to our programs
  • held over 100 events for professionals and young talent

The Munich Onboarding Hub offers many more services. These include:

  • Onboarding Café – seminars and other events for professionals, partners and families, apprentices, and German language learners
  • Expert presentations – concise information on work, life, and integration
  • Munich orientation – city tours and mobility training
  • Recruiting support – job and apprenticeship fairs, career days
  • Global village & workforce – support for workplace integration management

Partners of the Munich Onboarding Hub

The Munich Onboarding Hub is a central component of the City of Munich's skilled labor strategy.

The Hub is part of the Munich Employment and Training Program (MBQ) run by the Department of Labor and Economic Development and brings together not only MBQ services—such as amiga, the Career Center for Internationals—but also the support services offered by key partners: These include the Munich Adult Education Center (MVHS) and the Goethe-Institut, as well as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria, the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria, the Welcome Center Munich, the Department of Social Affairs, the Federal Employment Agency, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, associations, clubs, and other representatives of strategic partner organizations.
